I have two lines of research:
1. Attachment-related psychological, intellectual and social interactive procedures in youth and adulthood: i’m enthusiastic about developing and enhancing measures to evaluate parental sensitiveness, parental disrupted caregiving, parental socialization of youngsters’ feelings, and kids’s representations of accessory. We am additionally thinking about what sort of moms and dad’s reputation for youth maltreatment impacts their parenting behavior, the parent-child relationship, as well as the kid’s subsequent development that is emotional.
2. Evaluating self-compassion: Self-compassion is usually considered to include three components: mindful understanding of our real experience; treating the self kindly (that we are not alone, but rather, the difficult experiences we have are shared by many others as we would treat a good friend); and realizing. It is often highly related to good psychological state results. Whereas self-compassion is normally evaluated making use of a questionnaire, i will be interested in understanding and observing it as a procedure occurring in realtime.

My research program examines non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) and associated psychological state problems among youth and growing grownups. Central to my research approach may be the utilization of the Web as a study platform and outreach device. In this respect, my research investigates: a) online NSSI interaction, b) how to increase youth’s access to online NSSI resources, c) NSSI healing experiences, and d) methods to enhance knowledge and training of the who are able to support youth who have trouble with NSSI along with other mental health problems.Read More »Without a doubt about Research Areas by Faculty
